Double exposure is having two pictures shown at once in one composition. Sepia is turing everything a brownish colour. Emphasis is leaving everything black and white except one small part. Black and white is draining the pigment out of a picture. Boat in hand is exaggerating the size in a picture so that one is really small and one is really large. Silhouette is having the foreground black and colour behind it. The rule of thirds is that having the main focus off to the side and having the same amount of negative space on the other size makes the reader more visually intrigued.
My thoughts on the photoshop epidemic are that people use it too much in real life, which leaves other people to believe that everyone should look that way. However, if they want to keep doing this, then it is fine with me. However, I would never participate in such madness. It is like a crazy obsession, that people should look a certain way to be able to feel good about themselves.
My Favorite element is line because of the diverse way people put it to use. Lines can be long and graceful, or short and choppy. it depends on what you see in them. My favorite principle is balance because it can make object look steady and even, when they are really going to topple over. I used The Elements and Principles of Art page to help me.
